Position Summary:

This is a temporary 18 month fixed term position.

Under general supervision, works directly with the assigned Supply base to ensure that materials on order are on track for timely and accurate delivery

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews open order books due dates and works cross-functionally to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Negotiates with Suppliers regarding expedite fees, shipping methods, and delivery date improvements with an additional focus on building strong Supplier relationships.
  • Reviews each purchase order and suggests proper actions where slippage occurs.
  • Proactively ensures pipeline health by running and monitoring reports with the objective of identifying potential risks.
  • Recognizes issues related to progress, expedites the parts by prioritizing the Supplier order book, and communicates risks to internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinates Supplier touch-points to mediate issues and drive resolutions on our critical items and top revenue drivers.
  • Manages a large work volume in a fast pace environment.
  • Must have interest in resolving problems and issues.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent Degree
  • 2-4 year’s of related work experience
  • Experience with the concepts of procurement, logistics, and material control activities.
  • Proficiency with MS applications, with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to take on multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and achieve results
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills /Experience):

  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Bilingual (French and English), both written and verbal
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must have the ability to take on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and achieve extraordinary results
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to logically analyze situations which involve complex computation
  • Extensive knowledge of Aerospace parts
  • SAP software experience
