renewables and grid projects. We are dedicated to helping projects with important benefits to
people and nature succeed, whilst creating a positive environmental legacy through our work.

Our team has strong mix of scientific, commercial and regulatory knowledge and experience. This
ensures that we consistently deliver high quality and pragmatic services and advice.

  • Input into weekly and monthly ECoW reports.
  • Ecology surveys (including protected species and peat probing).
  • Undertaking pre-construction baseline surveys.
  • Data entry (Excel) and digitisation (QGIS).

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in an environmental field (Ecology, Zoology, Environmental
    Management).

  • Experience of liaising with statutory regulators on behalf of the client.
  • Strong IT skills including, MS Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home.
  • Willingness to support other disciplines within MacArthur Green (such as ecology, water quality
    monitoring and peat) when required
  • Live in or near Glasgow (or able to relocate before start date).

Desirable

  • Experience of working on large scale renewable projects.

  • 4x 4 driving experience.
  • Management experience.
  • Experience of undertaking ECoW work.

A bit more about us

Through the work we do and the way we operate, we aim to have an enduring positive
environmental legacy. We are doing this in three ways: we only work on projects which deliver a
positive environmental impact, we support research projects relevant to sustainable development
(we have part-funding six PhD students) and we have planted almost 30,000 as part of a native
woodland scheme in Argyll.
