Are you a finance professional with a sharp controlling mindset and a passion for business partnering? Our client – a well-established global player in the FMCG industry – is currently expanding its Shared Services Center (SSC) in Poznań and is looking to appoint a Senior Finance Business Controller/Finance Manager. This is a strategic and highly autonomous role, ideal for someone eager to shape financial direction and manage a small team in a fast-evolving SSC environment.About the RoleAs Finance Manager, you will serve as a core member of the local SSC Management Team and working closely with the Global Finance Leadership Team. You will drive financial strategy, performance management, and operational excellence – while leading a small team of finance professionals and collaborating with senior stakeholders across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesControlling & Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to the SSC leadership, driving both local and global financial strategy.
- Deliver proactive insights on cost drivers, risks, and opportunities across services and projects.
- Ensure cost transparency and performance tracking across all service lines.
- Support the integration of new service lines into the SSC, ensuring financial feasibility and alignment with business cases.
Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Lead the end-to-end financial planning and forecasting process for the SSC.
- Provide robust, data-driven analysis to support informed decision-making.
Billing & Financial Operations
- Oversee service cost calculations and align Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal recipients.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly charging based on defined methodologies.
Risk, Compliance & Financial Governance
- Manage local cash flow and FX operations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (particularly transfer pricing) and internal policies.
- Act as the local Compliance Manager and liaise with auditors and global finance teams.
- Maintain strong internal controls in line with corporate governance standards.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop a small, high-performing finance team, providing direction, support, and coaching.
- Set team objectives, monitor performance, and foster a culture of accountability and growth.
- Support career development and succession planning within the finance function.
Requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- 3–5 years of experience in a finance or controlling managerial role, ideally within a multinational or shared services environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing a small finance or controlling team.
- We’re seeking a finance leader who thrives on independence, takes ownership of outcomes, and is comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution.
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to challenge and influence business decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SAP (B.one), Power BI, and PowerPoint is a strong asset.
