Your role is a key position in the execution of excellent business performance analysis and to enable effective decision-making for the DFS entities in the Netherlands (Breda, Bladel) and Belgium (Turnhout). This role will largely be filled from Turnhout and Bladel.

You will report to the Sr Manager Finance. It is an important position within the dynamic and growing financial environment.

You are an ambitious Financial Analyst who will contribute to the Finance department by managing day-to-day financial tasks with a focus on DFS Netherlands B.V. (Bladel) & Tokheim Belgium N.V. (Turnhout). As the ideal candidate, you are at home in accounting principles, comfortable working with numbers, have an eye for detail and are keen to develop yourself professionally in a broader finance role. The aim of your role is to make an overall contribution to the efficient operation of the department and to help the company provide a full understanding of its financial condition. In this way, you will contribute to the sound decision-making and long-term success of DFS.

Main duties and responsibilities:

– Daily Financial Planning & Analysis activities:

-Booking & backlog analysis.
-Gross profit margin validation.
-Periodic reporting (daily/weekly/monthly).
-Working capital monitoring.
-Develop / expand Business Intelligence capabilities.
-Support forecasting & budgeting process.
– Support in the month-end closing process, ensuring timely reporting of results and supporting information, in line with the corporate timetable:

-Preparation and booking of journal entries in the local ERP system
-Validation and checking of results for accuracy
-Balance sheet account reconciliation
-Reconciliation bank & cash payments
-Reviewing and verifying entries made by the shared services team
-Ad hoc support in reviewing declarations, payroll files, etc.
– Excellent income statement reporting and analysis in close cooperation with the Senior Finance Manager.
– Business Partnership to the Finance Director, the FP&A Manager, the Controlling Manager & the local Management Teams.
– Support with ad hoc business queries.
– Support in processing the balance sheet, income statement and other financial statements in accordance with applicable legal and internal financial guidelines.
– Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures.
– Support with Sox, Audits, legally required declarations and financial projects.
