Offer DescriptionLa Rochelle University is starting its recruitment campaign for tenured lecturer-researchers for the start of the 2025-2026 academic year!Teaching activities
The scientific and technical skills associated with the position concern the teaching of Artificial Intelligence: Machine (& deep) Learning, Generative AI, Business Intelligence (data mining, BI), but also Programming (imperative, functional, object), Software Development and Virtualization.
The person recruited must be involved in the teaching and administrative and pedagogical responsibilities of the Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, the Master’s degree in Computer Science and the CMI (Engineering track) in Computer Science, where applicable in other training courses of the institution co-constructed with the Computer Science Department.
Experience in creating/managing university training would be an additional asset.
He/she will be encouraged to take on responsibilities in the life of the Computer Science Department, at the governance level and through reflections on developments in training and international outreach.

The candidate will enrich the MIA’s skills on issues identified in accordance with the laboratory’s research policy in the following areas:
1. Theory, algorithmics, and explainability of generative artificial intelligence.
2. Management, analysis, and processing of massive heterogeneous data.
3. Scientific and high-performance computing, parallelization, and algorithmic optimization.Lab Description: The MIA laboratory brings together researchers and lecturers from CNU sections 25, 26, 27, and 61. It provides doctoral training in the specialities of mathematics and applied mathematics, computer science, and signal and image processing. MIA’s activities are characterized by research projects developed through very close collaborations between researchers from CNU sections 25, 26, 27, and 61. These projects draw on both purely mathematical skills and skills related to data analysis and processing (images, videos, etc.) and learning methods (deep learning).The recruitment will take into account the following contextual elements:
1. Need to maintain partnerships with actors in the socio-economic world who require upstream work on the reliability and security of models.
2. Priority to environmental data, particularly related to hydrological issues.
3. Optimization of computing resources, in particular in terms of equipment, time, and energy, for the simulation of complex environmental evolution phenomena that are contrasted in time and scales.
