We are looking for a motivated Fullstack Developer to join our growing team and work with us on one of our flagship products, the United Nations Biodiversity Lab (UNBL). Our diverse range of projects and supportive learning culture provides opportunities for you to grow upwards or sideways within the organisation, allowing you to progress in the area of work that suits you and the organisation best.

You will need professional experience in web development with examples of your work. For this particular post, we are looking for a candidate with a good understanding of developing modern web applications and who has experience with Python, React, the Azure cloud and possibly STAC (Spatio Temporal Asset Catalog) to maintain and further develop UNBL. Most of our other web projects are typically built with JavaScript(VueJS) on top of Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL and have a geospatial element.

We are looking for someone with a passion to produce high quality outputs as well as a desire to continue learning. You will have an interest in manipulating datasets to extract informative insights and in producing engaging and interactive digital outputs. We collaborate on multiple projects across the organisation simultaneously so are looking for people who thrive working in a team as well as being confident working independently.

The teamwork doesn’t stop within the centre; we are part of the Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI) and work in partnership with many other not-for-profit organisations that are based in the David Attenborough Building in Cambridge. Although not essential, an interest in the environment is a bonus!
