Offer DescriptionWe are seeking for a talented postdoctoral researcher for the Laboratory of Translational Neuroanatomy and Neuroimaging (LN2T), ULB-Neuroscience Institute (UNI), Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB),Candidates are invited to apply for a fully funded postdoctoral position that will contribute to the development of fetal magnetoencephalography (fMEG) based on optically pumped magnetometers (OPM-fMEG). The successful candidate will develop OPM-fMEG recordings on pregnant women and infants. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop an expertise in OPM-MEG and its lifespan applications, which will certainly become an important asset in the coming years given the place that OPM-MEG will take in (clinical) developmental neuroscience. The LN2T is highly active in the development of OPM-MEG for research and has already begun to develop its use in infants.The position is for 2 years. It is fully funded thanks to a research grant from the Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique – FNRS (Brussels, Belgium).RequirementsResearch Field Neurosciences Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsCandidates must hold a Master’s degree (Bologna process) in Physics, Engineering, or related discipline. A PhD in a relevant discipline is absolutely essential for the postdoctoral position. Preliminary experience in the field of cryogenic MEG or OPM-MEG is desirable but not required. Expertise in developmental neuroscience is not mandatory but will be considered an asset.
