Job description

We are looking for young graduates in Geosciences, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering who are interested in attending GEMS, Eni’s corporate Master in Geoscience for Energy.The objective of the GEMS programme is to specialize highly qualified young people by providing them with an integrated vision of the world of geosciences and exploration, offering knowledge and skills ranging from the traditional requirements of the energy industry to those involving the latest technological and digital innovation, while focusing on transversal skills (project management, team working, communication, etc.).The Master’s programme will start with a period of skills alignment for participants from different backgrounds and will include classroom lessons, studies applied to real cases, geological activities in the field and the preparation of a final exploration project.The programme is provided free of charge, indeed a study grant in envisaged for the entire duration of the Master’s programme, equal to a gross monthly value of €1,500 for all participants.The Master’s programme runs for 9 months and will be held entirely in English, within the company’s facilities, at the San Donato Milanese (MI) site of Eni Corporate University, the programme is taught by Eni professionals and managers alongside lessons and presentations by renowned experts on the national and international academic scene in the area of Geoscience.The deadline to submit applications is September 9, 2024 and the Master programme is reserved for candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree in one of the following degree classes, or the equivalent degree obtained abroad, and no later than October 31, 2024: Physics (LM-17); Telecommunication Engineering (LM27); Computer Engineering (LM32); Mathematical-Physical Modeling for Engineering (LM-44); Mathematics (LM-40); Geological Sciences and Technologies (LM-74); Sciences and Technologies for the Environment and Territory (LM75); Geophysical Sciences (LM-79).
  • Grade of Master’s degree not less than 100/110 or equivalent for foreign degrees. Candidates who will obtain their degree between the deadline of this call for applications (September 9, 2024) and October 31, 2024 must have a weighted average of the exams equal to or higher than 27/30 or equivalent for foreign degrees.
  • Not having turned 29 years of age on December 31, 2024
  • Excellent knowledge of English.
  • Italian citizenship or citizenship of one of the countries of the European Union or a residence permit valid for the entire duration of the Master’s program.
