Reporting to the Global Marketing & Innovation Leader for the DuPont Water Solutions business, the Global Marketing Leader (GML), Life Sciences & Specialties, will be responsible for developing and leading the Life Sciences & Specialties global market strategy, tackling some of the hardest to treat life science challenges, identifying new business models and adjacent spaces, and creating a collaborative cross-functional and cross-regional growth mindset throughout the organization.

As a marketing functional expert, the GML will lead a team of regional marketers and provide coaching as well as subject matter expertise developing an enhanced toolbox of marketing capabilities. The GML is expected to be a subject matter expert in developing marketing plans, pricing excellence, brand management, secondary and primary research best practices as well as have a mastery of fundamental skills to position their market vertical for growth leveraging best practices around the 4Ps of marketing. Deliverables will include documented strategic marketing plans for the Life Sciences & Specialties market focusing on growth market segments, emerging market segments, and pivoting strategies to optimize growth.

The GML will differentially drive demand creation in the highest profitable growth segments while maintaining the base business being accountable for YOY growth and for supporting the commercial organization through where to play/how to win marketing strategic plans for this market segment across regions and technologies.

The GML will manage an innovation portfolio by technology focused on identifying, creating, and capturing customer value and profitable growth through innovation with sustainability-advantaged offering and operations. Delivering on innovation-based growth goals the GLM will hone its team’s skills around building robust business cases, why we win focused value propositions and positioning statements as well as project management skills to drive innovation project through the stage-gate process from idea to launch against customer centric milestones.

Please note our leadership team does work a hybrid schedule which is 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Candidates should live within a commutable distance to one of our water offices or technical centers around the world. Preferred locations are Wilmington, DE USA, Edina, MI USA, Midland, MI, USA, Chauny, France, Paris France, Greiffenberg, Germany, Tarragona, Spain, or be willing to relocate to the areas.


· Development of a comprehensive and executable life sciences & specialties (LS&S)marketing strategy focused on where to play/how to win strategic components that tie into the DWS business strategy.

· Analyze competitor activities, market trends, market growth rates, emerging technologies, business, and performance to ensure DWS stays aware of and reacts to the evolving landscape and has a complete view of the serviceable addressable market as well as current share and growth performance.

· Lead and coach a focused marketing team to deliver agreed upon goals and results

· Attract and recruit top talent, motivate the team, delegate effectively, celebrate diversity within the team, manage team performance and enable development of all team members. Improve work processes and elevate the team’s market competencies to help deliver results and a positive employee experience​.

· Responsible for life sciences & specialties global and regional target pricing, long-term forecasting, and supporting the commercial organization on planning and execution of growth strategies.

· Be selective and decisive on programs in the innovation pipeline ensuring robust business case development based on primary and secondary market research and a clear understanding of the customer’s needs.

· Ensure the development of comprehensive launch packages: FAQ, literature, deck, regional implementation plan, target customers by region, communication plan and market plan.

· Partner with marcom setting the priorities for LS&S to develop & implement appropriate marcom strategy, including editorials, press releases, webinars, other digital and traditional media as well as thought leadership. Own website content and update for LS&S.

· Be decisive, laser focused and act with a sense of urgency on efforts that most contribute to delivering our goals while being a change agent, modeling the appropriate behaviors in the business to deliver growth.


· Demonstrated business and financial acumen with ability to collect and analyze data and communicate insights effectively.

· Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar markets through primary research and analysis and develop strategic plans to address those markets.

· A leader who naturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, and possesses the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.

· Ability to lead direct and in-direct team members.

· A people manager with experience successfully leading and coaching a team of marketing professionals.

· A highly motivated and results-driven professional with excellent interpersonal skills.

· Strong project management expertise.

· A B.S. degree is required in a business or technical field; MBA strongly preferred.

· 15 years in marketing and business development

· +5 years’ experience in B2B marketing

· +2 years’ strategic market planning experience

· Ability to travel up to 25% of time.

· Working in multi-cultural, multi-region experience preferred.

· Preferred experience in water treatment technology or the life science industries.
