Practices are also responsible for building and evolving capabilities in line with market and client needs; attracting, developing, and retaining talent; and creating/evolving assets and solutions to reduce the cost of sales, delivery and operations.

The Global Practice Lead – Secure Cloud Platforms leads the Secure Cloud Platforms Practice globally and focuses on developing secure and resilient core for strategic Cloud platforms and applications through advanced Security controls that protects clouds, platforms and applications from internal and external attacks and stay compliant.

What you will do:

Practice Leadership & Growth
* Define, align, implement, and evolve global practice strategy and plans to ensure that Avanade has market leading capabilities in our chosen markets. The global strategy and planning is driven by the Regional Practice Leads in partnership with the Regional leaders.
* Define global practice priorities for Region Practice Leaders ensuring global BG and enterprise-wide Avanade priorities are incorporated. Cascade to Region Practice Leads and enable and participate in feedback loop.
* Manage global practice team in line with agreed plans and KPIs
* Build strong relationships with global Avanade, Microsoft, Accenture Technology, and other relevant Accenture leaders to drive growth of the practice and ensure maximum synergy

Sales, Solutioning and Delivery
* Pro-actively work with Sales, Client Account, and Line of Business/Play Leads to identify, qualify, and prioritize strategic/high value opportunities
* Lead and/or provide support for sales development and closure including provision of insights, demonstrations, creation of proposals, delivery of client presentations and input into contracts for strategic/high value opportunities
* Lead and/or provide expert solutioning support to assist with sales development/ closure and successful delivery of projects and services where appropriate
* Own and extend client relationships helping Avanade to broaden its client network and deliver an exceptional client experience
* Assist with the contextualization of the global go-to-market motions

Create and Evolve Practice Assets and Solutions
* Define and implement global asset and solution plan for the practice. Maintain, communicate, drive usage of, manage the full lifecycle of the practice assets and solutions inventory
* Enable regions with the right assets and skills to sell and deliver the practice assets and solutions inventory
* Understand practice-related trends globally and develop and/evolve practice assets and solutions to continue to meet global client objectives
* Harvest ideas and assets from the regions, add to the inventory, and deploy globally

Attract, Develop, and Retain Practice Talent
* Define and manage implementation of a holistic global practice talent plan to meet client demand, the Inclusion &Diversity agenda, and ensure a robust, future ready workforce
* Define and manage implementation of global practice employee engagement and well-being plan
* Determine skill requirements needed across the global practice, including skills needed to deliver Integrated Go To Market plays, and define and manage implementation of global practice-specific skill development plan
* Own, orchestrate, and evolve practice career development pathways to help practitioners broaden their skills and experience, undertake new roles and secure promotion
* Foster the network connection to Avanade’s Communities of Practice
* Within the practice, develop leaders of the future and own succession planning for various leadership roles

Manage Deployment of Practice Practitioners
* Define and align global practice workforce needs and plans with regions and Workforce Planning and Execution leaders to ensure the right capabilities and capacity to deliver the practice in all regions
* Align workforce plans with data driven insights on future growth, opportunities and workforce mix both on and offshore
* Update global workforce plan on a periodic basis to reflect business and practice priorities and performance
* Ensure the right practice capabilities and capacity are available to meet global needs
* Own global practice market utilization and chargeability targets ensuring these are met or exceeded at the global level

About you:

  • A senior executive leader with excellent communication skills, strong client presence, and the ability to influence executive stakeholders and clients
  • Recognized as a trusted partner and eminent thought leader in the Cloud Security domain
  • Expert in building organizational culture, driving employee engagement, strengthening inclusion and diversity, reducing attrition, and attracting top talent
  • An effective collaborator, both with internal and external parties
  • Keen client and market focus with the drive to achieve results
