This role is central to supporting our clients through technology-enabled finance transformations.If you are passionate about driving impactful change in the Government & Public Services sector and are ready to take a leadership role in shaping the future of finance transformation, we invite you to apply and become a part of our dynamic team at Deloitte.About the role:Lead, develop, and expand our team dedicated to delivering finance transformations and broader transformation programmes for our G&PS clients.Collaborate with our G&PS leadership across Consulting and the Deloitte Firm to bring the best solutions and advice to our clients.Leverage deep finance expertise in areas such as Finance Strategy, Finance Operating Model, and Process Optimisation to meet client needs.Enhance finance capabilities within the team across core finance processes (Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Controllership, Treasury, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)).Manage multi-disciplinary programme/project teams to deliver finance transformation and broader transformation programmes on time, within scope, and within budget.Drive client development, leveraging deep expertise to deliver high-quality consulting and support business growth.Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and professional growth within the team.About You:Sector Knowledge: A deep understanding and knowledge of the G&PS industry including political context, regulatory, and reporting requirements.Experience: Extensive experience working within finance functions in a transformation role and as a consultant within the G&PS industry.Accounting Qualification: Fully qualified accountant.Programme Management: Extensive experience as a programme lead (5+ years as a lead) with senior stakeholder engagement as part of the role.Finance Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in finance process optimisation, operating model design, with a comprehensive understanding of core finance functions and process including FP&A, Controllership, Treasury, AP and AR.Business Case Expertise: Demonstrated experience developing detailed business cases for G&PS organisations is a bonus.AI Knowledge: Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI applications, with a proactive approach to ongoing learning in this evolving area.Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing teams and overseeing large-scale transformation projects, finance and/or organisation wide, balancing client expectations and project timelines effectively. Experience with managing senior stakeholders (e.g. at Assistant Secretary Level)Technical Proficiency: Skilled in programme management with a relevant qualification is preferred.If you believe that you meet most of the criteria above, we encourage you to apply.
