You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented specialists, with the shared goal of raising industry standards for real-time graphical fidelity and performance. Your work will engage the cutting edge of modern hardware and software technologies.THE PERSON:The ideal candidate is a highly skilled software designer and engineer, strong in 3D math, fluent in C++, and captivated by the efficient use of discrete GPUs, APUs, and CPUs. You are team-driven and motivated to find solutions to problems that others might find too difficult. You can communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Contribute to a high-functioning feature team, integrating cutting-edge features into UE5Scope, plan, build, and validate comprehensive technical solutions for new features, initiatives, and product introductionsDiagnose complex bugs and other deficiencies in large code basesDeliver key planning solutions and the technology to support themDrive results through collaboration across multiple development teamsPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 6+ years of experience in game development or other practical applications of real-time graphics

Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in C++Expert knowledge of DirectX 12 and HLSLSignificant experience profiling and optimizing real-time graphics performance, including shader codeStrong troubleshooting and debugging skills, especially involving low-level graphics problemsStrong interpersonal and English communication skillsUnreal Engine experience preferred but not requiredReal-time ray tracing experience preferred but not requiredACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
