Our core business is to work on the ground to build bridges into space, contributing to the success of ambitious missions.The European Space Agency is our biggest client and we provide highly qualified employees to many sites of ESA but mainly for ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we provide a permanent contract with great benefits, a good salary, a relocation package along with genuine support to our employees.On behalf of the European Space Agency, we are looking for a highly skilled Ground Mission Segment (GMS) Engineering to work in ESTEC, in the Netherlands.What is expected from you:

  • Support the coordination of the GMS design and development with the prime contractor.
  • Support definition and consistency of ground segment requirements, specifications, and performance indicators.
  • Monitor and support industrial activities during all GMS lifecycle phases (design, development, verification, validation).
  • Supervise the implementation and validation of mission monitoring and security functions.
  • Ensure proper application of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) within the project organisation.
  • Contribute to project reviews, milestones, and progress meetings.
  • Liaise with system engineering, PA&S, and security teams for coherent integration.
  • Provide technical support to ESA studies and programmes related to navigation.
  • Participate in feasibility studies, procurement evaluations, and technology development planning.
  • Contribute to the Section’s R&D activities for what concerns innovative applications and system architectures, including the management of the R&D activities.

What you offer

  • Master’s degree / PhD in Telecommunication or Electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Background and solid experience, including hands-on experience on design, implementation and/or lab/field testing, in several of the following fields:
  • GNSS/Galileo systems, signals and associated receiver technologies;
  • Precise Orbit Determination;
  • LEO-PNT systems, signals and receivers;
  • Space Receivers;
  • Advanced signal processing and estimation techniques

Where:You will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium.
