Thank you for considering Smit Lamnalco as your potential employer in the marine services industry!Job DescriptionWe are searching for a Group Controller Consolidation & Reporting to join our accounting team.As Group Controller Consolidation & Reporting at Smit Lamnalco, you will play a critical role in delivering consolidated financial management information to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for the functional management of our Reporting, Consolidation, and BI applications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and international organization.Key Responsibilities:Manage all consolidation and reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of consolidated reports.Ensure that all required and relevant data is accurately captured in both standalone and group Reporting & Consolidation (R&C) systems.Prepare consolidated management reports for internal management and the parent company.Maintain the various R&C and BI applications from a functional perspective.Conduct initial variance analyses and assist in resolving intercompany differences.Review data inputs and provide consolidated management information to stakeholders.Oversee and manage cashflow reporting.Collaborate closely with the Group Accounting and Reporting Manager and other key stakeholders to continuously improve reporting processes.Ensure that master data in EXQL is consistently up to date.Participate in both internal and external audits.Contribute to ad hoc finance-related projects as needed.QualificationsEducation and Background:Master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or a related discipline.4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience in a financial consolidation and reporting role.Required Qualifications and Skills:Proven expertise in financial consolidation and reporting, including preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reports.Solid background in finance, with experience in a similar role—preferably within the maritime or marine services industry.Hands-on experience with the functional and technical management of Reporting & Consolidation (R&C) and Business Intelligence (BI) software applications.Strong understanding of financial systems, data integrity, and reporting structures.Experience with consolidation tools (e.g. OneStream, Tagetik, SAP BPC) and BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik) is highly desirable.Knowledge of or exposure to the maritime industry is considered an advantage.Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within cross-functional and international teams.Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.Additional InformationEmployment conditions:This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic technical professional who is keen and eager to join an International Marine company.
