Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager to join our fast-growing Grid Systems Integration (GSI) team. (S)he will play a key role in developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies specific to the energy sector, analyzing market trends, shaping and driving internal and external communication plans to enhance engagement and attraction, and coordinating various marketing activities to promote our solutions. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with strong analytical skills and a passion for marketing and communications within the energy industry.

This role is pivotal in shaping and driving our internal communications strategy to enhance employee engagement, foster a cohesive corporate culture, and align our global workforce with the company’s strategic objectives. The role will work across the organization to ensure our mission, vision and brand values run through internal communications and marketing, in full alignment with market environment. Empowering employees to communicate and share knowledge effectively to increase the impact and understanding of what we do, how it serves the market, and how it positively differentiates from our competitors. This role will report into the Grid Systems Integration Sales & Marketing leader. This role will act as the key point of contact for GE VERNOVA communication team (GSI referent for any communication topic).

Within Grid Solutions, the Grid Systems Integration (GSI) Business Line, is accountable for the sales, project execution and services of high voltage Alternative & Direct Current complete solutions (2,700 employees). Typical project values range from a couple of hundreds of thousand dollars, up to the billion-dollar range. GSI is structured around 6 Regions, Product Delivery Groups and central Functions.

Job Description

Key responsibilities: ensure effective and impactful GSI Communication thanks to strong Market & Stakeholder acumen.

  • Market & Stakeholder acumen:

  • Understand the technology & the market stakeholders well enough to collect & analyze information, and then strategize and communicate to create positive business impact.

  • Support market assessment of the GE Vernova Grid Solutions business for the GSI business line, including segment size and market share, feeding Long Term Strategy and company strategic planning.

  • Support Voice of Customer information collection and analysis, and synthetize those to communicate them to the organization, enhancing the understanding of key customer value points.

  • Support competitor watch & profiling: keep track of competition capabilities, and ensure internal awareness while communicating competitor news, competitor profiles, and corresponding talking points.

  • Support regulation monitoring, international fund watch, follow up of key publications from business associations (IEEE, CIGRE, IEC, Wind Europe,…) and be a pivotal force to ensure effective communication between GSI and these stakeholders.

  • Effectively communicate through storytelling with the ability to write for different audiences, technical & non-technical, in a simple and compelling way.

  • Develop and implement the foundations for consistent marketing messaging and content such as web sites, brochures, videos, thought white papers and other written and digital collateral that summarizes our technical and commercial points in succinct, well written.

  • Gather, formalize, and communicate differentiated value propositions.

  • Build 360-degree communication campaigns that look for news stories and innovative content.

  • Effective and impactful GSI communication:

  • Partner with business leadership to ensure the development of successful internal communications that will keep key stakeholders well-informed to help achieve business objectives and corporate narrative.

  • Effectively produce both virtual and in-person All Hands Meetings from 40 people up to 4,000 people

  • Support GSI change management communications by advising and ensuring that leaders and employees are kept informed of key business decisions or activities where necessary.

  • Establish a strong network to support communication activities which help to ensure messages are cascaded properly throughout the business, via stories and innovative compelling content.

  • Write, edit, and proof-read material to ensure consistency and compliance with GE Vernova’s branding, values, key messages and style guidelines, ghost writing for senior staff when required.

  • Provide advice to colleagues across the organization on internal communications planning, audiences, channels and messaging to ensure the most effective approaches.

  • Take the lead in developing effective and cost-effective internal communications and engagement solutions using a range of new and existing tools.

  • Manage and drive user adoption across all internal communications channels.

Required Qualifications & characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Media, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with at least 3 years of experience in communications from agency or competitive energy industry

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with ability to simplify complex issues with ability to connect at all levels of an organization – from C-Suite executives to manufacturing line employees.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated independent and teamwork skills to work with team members remotely from around the globe.

  • Tech savvy with skills in digital marketing, incl. video editing tools, design knowledge and strong PowerPoint skills with a strong understating of how graphic design adds value, and with an ability to quickly learn new tools/processes and to enhance the existing ones.

  • Be able to effectively manage workload with tight deadlines, management of multiple projects simultaneously, and regular shifting of priorities.

  • Exemplary attention to detail and an ability to balance intricate logistical details while delivering timely messages with impact;

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Curiosity: able and eager to screen different media and all open information sources, as well as our own internal sales staff, in order to analyze, synthesize, define talking points and effectively communicate around market landscape.

  • Integrity: accepting and adhering to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others – according to the spirit as well as the letter of any regulation or policy

  • Experience in email marketing tools (i.e. Bananatag or Mailchimp)

  • Knowledge of metrics reporting (i.e. Google Analytics) and survey tools (i.e. SurveyMonkey)

  • Experience in using of all media platforms for business, including but not limited to social media.

  • Experience in graphic design and general visual presentations following established brand guidelines.
