We’re seeking an experienced professional with excellent analytical skills to join our Credit to Cash team.Hempel embarked on a NextGen Finance Program — a strategic initiative focusing on scalability of our Finance function, global alignment and standardization, process and systems excellence, automation and digitalization. As part of NextGen Finance, we commenced to reassess, redesign and reimplement our core processes, including Credit to Cash. If you’re senior leader with deep expertise, as well as hands on practical experience and a proven track record of driving similar initiatives, we want to hear from you!Head of Credit to Cash (C2C) Process Optimization will drive end-to-end process redesign and optimization. The role requires deep knowledge of C2C process and hands on experience in operating and optimizing C2C process at multiple levels. Provide strong leadership and guidance to the teams (including those not directly reporting to this role), fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Act as a key liaison between the finance function and other business units, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. The position would report to the Director, Global Credit Control.The desire is to hire a senior leader on a 2 year contract, with possibilities to enter into a permanent position, with further responsibilities afterwards.Responsibilities
- In close collaboration with the C2C GPO (Global Process Owner) and Head of C2C, drive full end to end process redesign of C2C Process. This includes accountability to optimize the C2C process, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness throughout the procurement and payment cycles working end to end with employees in the Global Credit Control community, Costumer Care, Sales and other parts of Hempel.
- Provide strategic guidance and operational expertise to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and design scalable, efficient processes leveraging ERP systems, process automation and other digital tools to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and milestones.
- Drive preparation for process reimplementation, ensuring that implementation plan is detailed and structured to ensure a smooth transition from current to future state.
- Provide regular updates to Project Management Office on project progress and key performance indicators.
- Challenge existing setup and ways of working, deliver simplification and optimization.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across functions (e.g. Digital, Procurement, etc…) to ensure seamless integration and alignment across functions.
- Support the organization in adopting and embedding the re-designed processes, including providing expert input during implementation phases.
Qualifications and competences
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in C2C, with expertise in automation and optimisation.
- Expertise in finance process re-design, optimization, and implementation, with a proven track record of executing processes and leading process transformations.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, particularly D365 and SAP 4/Hana, experience with SAP ECC 6 and AX2009 is a strong advantage.
- Strong operational and strategic skills, combining high level understanding of the end to end process with day-to-day execution.
- Ability to clearly communicate and make complex matters understandable.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management skills, including ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering practical, measurable and sustainable outcomes.
