Grade 10S: £61,198 – £70,918 with a discretionary range to £77,476 per annum

This is an outstanding opportunity to join the senior management of the Social Sciences Divisional Office with responsibility for education policy and standards across the fourteen departments of the Social Sciences Division. As Head of Education Policy and Planning, you will be responsible for strategic planning in relation to undergraduate and graduate provision, academic policy, and quality assurance across the Division’s fourteen academic departments. You will oversee the Division’s key academic committees and represent the Division within the wider collegiate university.  

This is a highly varied and challenging role which requires substantial management and leadership capability. You will be a key member of the Division’s senior management team, reporting directly to the Divisional Registrar. You will lead the education team of ten, whose roles cover DTP and on-course graduate administration, researcher skills training, and education policy and standards. You will also work closely with the Head of Division and Associate Head of Division (Education), Heads of Department, Directors of Studies and administrators, the Academic Director of the DTP, and central university teams, in particular the Education Policy Support section.

This post is full-time and permanent. Hybrid working arrangements will be considered in consultation with the line manager, but with the expectation of working at least two days per week based in the Divisional Office.
