HEAD OF GOVERNMENT LIAISON AND COMPLIANCE

Duration: Fixed term contract until March 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension

Location: Based in Kathmandu

The Role
 

The head of government liaison and compliance comes under Government liaison and Compliance team. The role of this position is to ensure that the compliance is ensured in program and operation, mange audits in the country office, manage relationship with government entities, ensure that security risks are minimized for the staff and the visitors in the country office.

 

What we are looking for

 
This position works across the support services and the programs and partnerships teams to support risk management. The government liaison and compliance coordinator is accountable for the development and oversight of policies and programs intended for the mitigation and/or reduction of compliance, security and reputational risks.

 

•    Master’s degree in Business Administration or Business Management or equivalent
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role including 3 years in development sectors
•    Familiar with Nepal and International Audit Standards
•    Track record in working with government of Nepal effectively.
•    Excellent facilitation, analytical, advisory skills.
•    Ability and experience with audits of multi-donor contracts finances
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude to bring positive changes.
•    Knowledge of financial procedures of major donor agencies e.g., EC, ECHO, CDO, DFAT, SDC, SIDA, etc.
•    Knowledge or appreciation of Nepal in terms of its political, economic, and social trends.
•    Experience in security management.
•    Commitment to the aims, objectives, and Oxfam’s organizational culture.
