Head of HR, Europe
ANINE BING is looking for a Head of HR to lead its HR operations in Paris. As Head of HR, you will start as a team of one and spearhead our efforts in the European market, with the exciting opportunity to help build a best-in-class People function from the ground up. You’ll collaborate with an international team to shape the future of our HR practices and join ANINE BING’s Global People Team, focused on attracting, engaging, and developing the best talent in the industry.

The Head of HR will report to the Group VP of HR and work primarily from our office in Paris.
Responsibilities Include

Execute on Global People Strategy by building HR operations from the ground up to align with local market needs, cultural nuances, and legal requirements, ensuring a seamless employee experience throughout the entire lifecycle.

Partner with HR leadership to drive strategic initiatives across France and the broader European markets, including workforce planning and organizational design, ensuring HR enables business growth and scalability.

Lead the development and implementation of employee relations strategies and workplace culture initiatives, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance environment. This involves proactively addressing workplace issues, fostering open communication, and resolving conflicts to ensure alignment with ANINE BING’s values and support business objectives.

Overhaul compliance processes and build systems to ensure full compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations, managing contracts, policies, and legal requirements to mitigate risk and support business continuity.

Oversee payroll operations in France, ensuring accurate and timely processing in compliance with local tax regulations and labor laws, while continually optimizing payroll systems to improve efficiency and employee experience.

Lead recruitment efforts in France, sourcing, attracting, and onboarding top talent across all departments while ensuring an efficient and positive candidate experience

Track and analyze key HR metrics such as turnover, employee engagement, and recruitment effectiveness to inform decision-making and improve HR strategies.

Support organizational change initiatives, ensuring clear communication and guiding employees through new strategies and developments to maintain alignment and engagement.

Collaborate cross-functionally with the Global People Team and other global teams to drive continuous improvement in HR processes, ensuring best practices are shared and implemented across the Group.
Requirements:

8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least five years in a leadership role, preferably within a multinational organization. Some experience with a Retail organization is preferred; experience in advanced contemporary or luxury fashion is a plus.

Proven track record in managing HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and talent development.

Deep understanding of local labor laws, employment regulations, and HR compliance standards.

Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead and inspire HR teams and influence senior management.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English, with the ability to convey complex HR topics clearly and effectively.

High emotional intelligence, with the ability to build trust and foster positive relationships at all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to manage HR projects, from inception through execution, focusing on achieving results and improving processes.

Ability to recognize and process confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

Experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, etc.) and various ATS, HRIS, and payroll platforms is required; strong Excel skills are necessary; experience with Deel or Rippling are a plus.
