Required skills health safety leadershipRequired languages angolIntroductionWe are looking for an experienced, English speaking leader in Head of Occupational Health & Safety position for our Partner working in the building industry.Short descriptionThe position has full OHS responsibility at multiple manufacturing sites within Hungary with a team leadership, provides an excellent opportunity to actively participate in the growth of a large global company.Main duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining of the company’s work and health protection regulations; reviewing current and proposed regulations/company requirements and recommending appropriate program measures to ensure compliance;

• Maintaining and organizing internal and external system audits; maintaining contact with authorities and the professional managers of the company,

• Managing the follow-up and keeping up to date of the company and domestic occupational safety regulations;

• Developing, recommending and implementing practical, functional approaches to resolve occupational health and safety issues; conducting investigations into incidents involving any violations and prepares appropriate written reports;

• Organizing, supervising and delivering safety, health trainings on required regulatory, corporate and site-specific topics; shaping and developing the occupational safety approach of the employees;

• Responsible for the continuous improvement of the OHS conditions; providing expertise during concept and design phases of processes, machines and equipments;

• Performing workplaces assessments and providing technical guidance to employees to minimize risks associated with workplaces, processes and environment.

Required competencies

• College/ University degree in safety/environmental engineering/management or relevant field

• At least 5 years’ experience in OHS field in manufacturing/industrial environment

• 5-8 years’ management/leadership experience

• Experience with OHS compliance, systems and auditing

• Fluent English and native Hungarian language skills

• Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills

• Good problem solving skills

• Proactive, innovative and creative attitude

• Good communication and customer management skills
