Join the GTR Team as our new Head of Occupational Safety!Are you a dynamic and experienced leader in the field of occupational safety? GTR is on the lookout for a new Head of Occupational Safety to join our Safety, Health, and Security team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a role with significant responsibility and the chance to make a real impact.As the Head of Occupational Safety, you will lead the charge in ensuring the occupational safety of all GTR colleagues and contractors. You will be responsible for implementing robust systems, strategies, plans, and mitigations to address health and safety risks. Additionally, you will ensure that our Safety Management System not only meets legislative and industry requirements but is also well understood and implemented across the business.In this role, you will provide a comprehensive and professional occupational safety advisory service throughout GTR, supporting our continuous improvement agenda. You and your team will deliver insightful and focused Safety and Health advice to colleagues, promoting a positive Safety Culture across the organisation.We are seeking an experienced senior leader who has worked in complex organisations and has a proven track record of setting strategic direction and inspiring confidence at both local and strategic levels. This includes working closely with senior managers, executives, and both internal and external stakeholders. Experience in a unionised environment is preferred.As an industry professional, you will hold a NEBOSH diploma or an equivalent qualification and be a member of IOSH.
