Health and Safety Officer
Location:An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Health and Safety Officer to join a leading Irish specialist in the environmental sector to recruit a Health & Safety Officer. Qualifications

• Minimum of a Health & Safety Diploma
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role (preferably within M&E or infrastructure services)
• In-depth understanding of Irish Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation
• Strong IT and communication skills
• Proven ability to implement and monitor HSEQ systems effectively
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Not suitable for graduate or entry-level applicants

Key Duties

• Monitor and ensure compliance with all internal and external HSEQ policies
• Draft and review Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and SPA documents
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits
• Deliver Toolbox Talks and safety briefings to teams
• Maintain records and ensure reporting of incidents, accidents, and near misses
• Provide H&S support and training to staff and subcontractors
• Analyse and report on EHS trends to senior management
• Review subcontractor safety documentation and compliance
• Promote a culture of continuous safety improvement
• Support preparation of project safety files and documentation
