Do you have a passion for delivering outstanding care?We have exciting opportunities for experienced, qualified Health Care Assistants and those new to care to join a professional and supportive team working within a variety of different specialities delivering a high standard of personal care.If you are new to care your application will be directed via our training pathway where where support will be available for you to complete a level 2 programme of study and the Care Certificate through our apprenticeship programme.Main duties of the jobProvides personal care to patients e.g. Bathing, toileting, feeding and care of the dying.Works in accordance to Trust policies and procedures Demonstrates own duties to new starters and others as appropriate.Observes patients and reports any changes to a Registered Nurse.Perform basic observation process by using automated device for temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation’s and respiratory.Take basic patient measurements e.g height and weight.Our Clinical support workers ( both qualified and Apprentice CSW) will have shift work, including days, nights and weekend working.There is pastoral support and development opportunities available for all successful candidatesAbout usAll new colleagues can expect to receive a warm and friendly Wirral welcome from the very first time they make contact with us. - Can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of promoting patient independence
- Able to provide support and reassurance to patients
Qualifications, Specific Experience & TrainingEssential
- Level 2 qualification (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2) in Health & Social Care OR A good standard of general education to GCSE level and the agreement to undertake the relevant L2 qualification on appointment
- Completion of the Care Certificate theory and practice standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust.
