Hourly Paid Lecturer in Architectural Technology

Special Conditions: HPL1, £48.55 per direct teaching hour. This includes the following three elements: teaching, preparation and marking of the scheduled programme of work. A rate of £19.42 will be paid for completing one of the above elements of the schedule. The number of hours required and the days of the week may vary.

We are seeking to recruit lecturers who are available to work during the academic year and will be paid on an hourly basis in the following subject areas with particular focus on large-scale commercial projects and associated implementation:

  • Architectural Design and Detailing
  • Construction Technology
  • Building Control
  • REVIT
  • Professional Practice

Within the Architectural Technology subject area there is an opportunity to support teaching and delivery. You will work under the direction of the Program Manager in delivering high quality teaching and learning to undergraduate. Duties will include preparation, delivery, and marking where required. You will be expected to deliver lectures, run seminars and tutorials and contribute to studio teaching.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate ideas of a complex or technical nature to students effectively using a variety of teaching methods, have detailed knowledge of the particular subject area through significant teaching, and / or industry experience. We would very much welcome industry practitioners to contribute to course delivery within these roles .
