Your Role at a GlanceThis position offers hands-on responsibility and breadth across the HR lifecycle. You’ll report to a Senior HR Business Partner and serve as a trusted advisor to both corporate and operational managers.Day-to-Day You’ll:

  • Manage ER cases independently-handling absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance and wellbeing cases.
  • Coordinate and improve recruitment processes-from advertising and screening through to onboarding.
  • Coach line managers on people practices, policies, and decision-making.
  • Support internal communications-drafting briefings, engagement bulletins and policy updates.
  • Analyse HR metrics-including absence trends, recruitment performance, and staff turnover.
  • Review and enhance HR policies and workflows, with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to cultural change initiatives, including onboarding enhancements and employee engagement surveys.

What You’ll BringMust-Have:

  • CIPD Level 5 or working towards it
  • 4-5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
  • Proven track record managing employee relations issues end-to-end
  • Experience in recruitment coordination or ownership
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and people policies
  • Confidence to challenge, influence, and coach at all levels

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with ADP or similar HRIS
  • Background in operational sectors (e.g., logistics, engineering, manufacturing, or distribution)
  • Involvement in writing or refining HR policies and internal comms
  • Familiarity with wellbeing initiatives or culture programmes

  • Salary: £33,000-£35,000 per annum
  • Location: Coventry (primarily onsite, with 1 day per week hybrid flexibility for project work)
  • Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
