Lancaster University invites applications for one post of HR Manager to join at its exciting new campus in Leipzig, Germany. Located in one of Germany’s most vibrant, livable, and attractive cities, the Leipzig campus offers the same high academic quality and fully rounded student experience as in the UK, with a strong strategic vision of excellence in teaching, research, and engagement.
An experienced HR manager required preferably with experience in the High Education sector, and in designing and implementing HR policies and procedures for a young campus. Based at Lancaster University Leipzig, you will support the Academic Dean, LU Leipzig to coordinate and deliver a wide range of operational activity, HR services and strategy. Working in close consultation with the appropriate colleagues at LU Leipzig and Lancaster University, you will develop and implement the campus’ policies and practices with respect to the effective delivery of HR support services as well as maintaining effective operations of Lancaster University Leipzig GmbH. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a broad range of effective working relationships, within colleagues at Lancaster University’s main campus, partner organizations and external stakeholders. You will also support the Academic Dean on other duties as necessary to the effective operation of the campus.
Please note this role is a part-time, indefinite-duration appointment based in Leipzig, Germany. The contract is with Lancaster University Leipzig under German law.
