In addition to new-build construction, their competencies extend to structural repair systems for renovation work and flexible framing solutions for industrial applications.From the construction of new schools, hospitals, homes and infrastructure, to the repair and maintenance of heritage structures, their engineering skills and product technology are making a difference around the world.In order to ensure further business growth and continuity in Belgium, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced HSE Manager Belgium.Description de l’emploiTogether with the Global Safety Manager and Regional Operations Director you are responsible for developing the local HS&E strategy. You will lead and improve the implementation, coordination and support of HS&E programs across the production sites in Belgium.

  • You will translate the local HSE strategy into a tangible action plans, ensuring clear goals and KPI’s are in place, aiming for a strong HS&E culture.
  • You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HS&E programs and procedures.
  • You engage with different stakeholders (Plant Managers, Country Managers, Local Safety Managers, Global Safety Manager, Blue-collars, etc.) to make sure that they are active and supportive participants in the safety culture.
  • You train different stakeholders on safety, policies, procedures, best practices and principles.
  • You lead incident investigations to identify root causes and appropriate corrective actions in order to reduce (similar) incidents in the future.
  • You conduct audits and on-site inspections to identify hazards, assess risk, and ensure compliance with HS&E standards.
  • You measure and report on KPIs and use HS&E systems to enhance HS&E performance.
  • You monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations. You make sure that all relevant certifications for the HS&E system are in place.
  • You will have a direct reporting line to the Regional Operations Director.

Profil

  • You obtained a Master degree in Commercial Sciences, Commercial Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • You have +5 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial production environment. Experience within the Heavy Industry is considered as a strong plus.
  • You have wide knowledge regarding international standards and best practice in HS&E (ISO14001 and 45001).
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HS&E programs and conducting various audits.
  • Solid proven track record within performance- & change management.
  • Ability to conduct thorough investigations/ analysis and develop effective corrective actions.
  • You poses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication skillset with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Strong internal- and external stakeholder management capabilities.
  • You are flexible to travel between the production sites in Belgium.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is required. French is a plus.
