So, if you’re ready to take the next big step in your career, challenge yourself every day and evolve with the world around you, THG is ready for you.About the RoleThis role sits within the people function of THG Ingenuity, servicing our ICON 2 Fulfilment site in Manchester, and will report to the Head of People – UK Fulfilment. This role will be supported by two direct reports, namely an HR Advisor and an HR Assistant.The role will partner with and work closely with the site leadership and the wider People team in achieving the site objectives. The role will take ownership of the full HR function of the site and will support key areas such as advising and guiding managers, managing employee relations cases, performance ratings and pay review processes, management development, employee engagement, organisational change, site culture and project work.This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), office-based, with occasional flexibility for working from home.Role ResponsibilitiesStakeholder partnerships

  • Partner with the Site Leadership Team to ensure the delivery of all People objectives
  • Act as a coach and trusted advisor to Managers on all things People on your site
  • Collaborate with the wider People team, including People Business Partners from other business units, the L&D team and the Talent Manager, to ensure consistent delivery of strategic targets and People practices across the UK operations.
  • Work closely with support teams, including Payroll, T&A, Shared Services, and People Data, to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of administrative tasks.

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Manage, guide, and coach a team of two direct reports HR Advisors & Assistants in the delivery of their duties and objectives.

Employee Relations

  • Lead on Employee Relations activities within your site.
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and managers on complex ER issues.
  • Manage all ER cases within your site, including all sickness cases, flexible working requests, performance management cases, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
  • Support the Head of People and Legal team to manage any Tribunal cases.
  • Manage cases and processes relating to welfare, occupational health, risk assessments, amended duties and capability.
  • Manage parental leave on-site.

Performance Ratings and Pay Reviews

  • Manage the on-site performance rating processes and provide guidance and support to the Managers on the appropriate implementation of the performance ratings framework.
  • Support the Head of People to compile and manage pay review, bonus and promotions processes.

Engagement & Culture

  • Ownership of all site-level engagement strategies and activities
  • Create an engagement calendar, in collaboration with the wider people team, and ensure the delivery of the agreed engagement events on-site.
  • Support in the creation and implementation of an engagement survey, trend analysis, and subsequent action planning.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Manager on exit interview processes including participating in data analysis, trend identification and the creation and implementation of action plans.
  • Participate in communication forums and support action plans.

Learning & Development

  • Champion people management skill development for managers and colleagues on-site
  • Collaborate with the L&D team in the creation and delivery of the HR training module to the internal management team.
  • Collaborate with the L&D and Talent teams in talent identification, succession planning and performance development processes.
  • Foster positive D&I culture on site

Organisational Change

  • Manage and implement organisational change processes and projects
  • Support the People data and wider People team in the successful implementation of Oracle

Data Analysis

  • Contribute to the KPI pack process and communicate information to the Site Leadership Team.
  • Conduct data analysis on People metrics, identify trends and use the insights to drive continuous improvement in People processes.

Site Responsibilities

  • Implement and drive People elements of the operational management system (OMS)
  • Create, manage, and deliver the on-site People Plan during the divisional Peak Period
  • Manage the People processes relating to the performance-based pay scheme
  • In collaboration with the other People Business Partner in the division, responsible for the HR folder in the People Team SharePoint and the HR folder in the People Team Hub.

Role Requirements

  • At least 5 years of HR experience
  • Level 5 CIPD Qualification
  • Experience advising Senior Managers and stakeholders on HR policies and procedures
  • Strong technical skills and a good working knowledge of current employment legislation
  • Strong relationship-building, listening, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyse and present data
  • Capable of working using your initiative
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Ideally, have experience within a Blue-collar environment
