Culina Group operates from over 100+ depots across the UK and Ireland, serving more than 1,000 clients over its framework of chilled, ambient, contract packaging solutions and fresh and baked goods.Company OverviewThe Pallet Network (Part of the Culina Group) facilitates pallet deliveries across the UK, Ireland and Europe through its cross dock facilities at Swadlincote, Coventry and Preston.At Culina we have a winning culture, we believe that our culture is one of the reasons our company continues to thrive… A place where you’re valued, challenged, and inspired!Job DescriptionDue to continued growth, we are now seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our HR and Operations Department team at our Swadlincote site.The role of HR Business Partner is truly generalist, whereby you will partner senior stakeholders and take full HR responsibility for your sites, managing a variety of projects and initiatives.This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (some flexibility will be needed on working hours depending on business need) offering a competitive salary, package and the opportunity to work for a forward thinking market leader.Job responsibilities of HR Business Partner include:

  • Day to day generalist role business partnering General Managers and other senior stakeholders in the business
  • Case management – advising & supporting grievance/ performance/ disciplinary/ absence associated matters, coaching and developing stakeholders in the process
  • Delivery of the Group wide HR strategy.
  • Manage employee relations issues associated with any change, in particular proactive management of the relationship with employee representatives and trades unions
  • Supporting the business with the development and delivery of people plans across multiple business units
  • Influence the development and implementation of HR policies and processes to ensure they meet the needs of the business
  • Ensure performance management processes are in place and operating effectively
  • Management of Tribunal proceedings with ACAS intervention as required

QualificationsTo apply for the role of HR Business Partner you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:

  • CIPD Qualified, ideally level 5.
  • HR legislative understanding/knowledge
  • Proven experience in advising on HR associated matters (grievance, disciplinary, performance management, absence etc)
  • Experienced in organizational change
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organised
  • Adaptable/flexible
  • Positive and credible
  • Able to build trust, respect and openness
  • Inquisitive/challenging
  • Business focused
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactive mind-set
  • Objectivity – partnering local business but retaining perspective
  • High level IT skills using MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point and outlook
