  • Scientific research on the topic: Implications of the war on the sustainability of the water supply and hydro-systems in Gaza (Palestine): An insight for reconstruction and development, and how groundwater could contribute to alleviation of the problem.
  • Support to the ongoing scientific research at the research unit (Laboratory for Applied Geology and Hydrogeology, at Department of Geology), related to water resources, with emphasis on groundwater, in the Global South.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You hold a thesis-based doctorate in hydrogeology or equivalent.
  • You are actively involved in scientific research, as is evidenced by recent scientific publications.
  • You have sufficient hands-on experience in the water sector, preferably in the Global South.
  • You demonstrate a thorough understanding of the complexity of the water problem in Gaza, with deep insight in the groundwater resources.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • We offer you a contract of indefinite duration.
  • Your contract will start on ​1/07/2024​ at the earliest.
  • Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate).
