Offer DescriptionIn the context of Bioelectronic Medicine, the winner will have to operate surgically on a mouse model of breast cancer, to insert neural interfaces for experimental neuromodulation as a new approach to anti-tumor therapy; furthermore, it will help evaluate the nature and extent of tumor innervation within the tumor microenvironment. The research team is markedly interdisciplinary, including electrical engineers, bioengineers, molecular biologists, chemists, physicists. The ability to plan work independently, relating to a heterogeneous environment, communication and interpersonal skills, good command of the English language are therefore required. The ideal candidate has advanced knowledge and methodological skills in the field of surgery/neurosurgery of mouse models, possibly with experience in the identification of peripheral nerve fibers, as well as in their histological characterizationRequirementsAdditional InformationEligibility criteriaEligible destination country/ies for fellows:
