We are looking for an Immunology Lead Alps who is a passionate leader with a great sense of responsibility who likes to be part of changing the patient journey of Immunology populations, to come join our ABN (Alps, Benelux, Nordics) Immunology Team, to be based in Austria or in Switzerland.

About the role

As the Immunology Lead for the Immunology Alps team, you will through strong and motivational leadership develop a spirit of shared responsibility and ensure cross-functional alignment in order to achieve the objectives set. Including all external facing UCB roles that are involved in patient value creation e.g. HCP Partners, MSLs and, where applicable, Payer Partners. In which you lead by example to ensure a culture of compliance in all initiatives and activities within the assigned markets For this role you need to have a deep insight in the relevant health care system across Switzerland and Austria and the ability to balance short and long term objectives, such as drive growth, profitability to achieve the iPVU strategic and financial goals and develop long term partnerships with health care. You will show a credible understanding of the therapeutic area including clinic, payer and policy interactions and demonstrate capability of external focus and accomplishing patient and health care value. You are an integrated manager/coordinator of all the customer/stakeholder-facing resources in/for regional given ecosystem (country, countries or sub-country level depending on size of country). And orchestrates all activities of the LPV unit (Local Patient Value unit) in Austria and in Switzerland.

Who you will work with:

You are part of the cross-functional Immunology Leadership Team in the ABN Area and partner with marketing, medical affairs, market access, ethics & compliance, finance, operational excellence, QA, regulatory, safety and supply to coordinate all operational activities and achieve value objectives for patients and for UCB.

 

What will you do:

-You will lead the development and execution of tailored strategies for the assigned ecosystem, and are accountable for achieving iPVU strategic, patient and UCB value creating goals
-Coordinate the use of UCB resources “in the right places at the right times” to maximize patient value creation and appropriate use of UCB marketed drugs
-Develop a multi-stakeholder ecosystem strategy based on key insights and unique characteristics of that ecosystem to maximize patient and ecosystem value creation and advance iPVU objectives
-Ensure implementation of Alps LPV unit Patient Value plans to achieve aligned and approved UCB and patient/ecosystem value creation objectives within agreed financial frame
-Prepare the annual LPV unit Strategic and Tactical Patient Value Plan for the Alps  ecosystems (incl Medical, Commercial and Market Access activities)
-Accountable for the annual financial budget in market sales and variable operating expenditure
-Annual planning of training and development of direct reports/cross functional team
-Commit time and resources to ensure that all colleagues and members of the LPV unit are developed, coached and guided to meet the overall strategic talent needs of UCB
-Develop processes and maintain effective external and internal relationships to secure patient value and efficient operation of the franchise in Alps, maximizing the value for UCB and Patients
 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

-University degree in business, life sciences or healthcare
-Several years of healthcare related sales, marketing, market access or field medical exposure with key account management
-Launching products in Immunology
-Innovative mindset, with a passion for making an impact on patients
-Leadership experience: people manager with commitment and motivation and ability to inspire and develop cross-functional influencing teams
-Proficiency in written and verbal communication
-Strong ability to analyze, plan, develop and execute strategic/tactical plans
-Market expertise in the Alps health systems and excellence understanding of local ecosystem key drivers for success
-Demonstrates the ability to engender credibility and confidence within the company
-Strong customer focus and operating skills and sense of urgency
-Languages: English.
