You will also be expected to play a key role in the development of the team, providing guidance and mentorship to support their professional development aspirations.

  • Extensive experience of initiating and converting research innovations into successful new knowledge exchange opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of research impact development within higher education and of relevant funding streams; and/or business, charity or public-sector experience in applied R&D.
  • Extensive experience of convening and leading successful large collaborations and funding bids together with the ability to use analysis and judgement to solve problems, resolve ambiguity and work within grey areas.
  • Leadership experience, evidenced by a record of influencing strategy, implementing change, and developing and mentoring colleagues.

These are our ideal requirements, but we know some people are less likely to apply for the role unless they are 100% qualified. The University promotes a supportive and empowering culture, please apply if you meet the majority of these competencies
