The Role:

Oxfam in Indonesia is looking for an Individual Consultant Communication Specialist who will be responsible for devising and executing comprehensive communication strategies tailored to the needs of the organization’s transition. They will collaborate closely with the leadership team and other relevant departments of Oxfam in Indonesia and the affiliate candidate to ensure clear and consistent messaging aligned with our
organizational goals.

Required Skills:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field,
• Have at least 3 years of experience in managing public relations, media engagement and a proven track record in implementing communications activities for a large program including the use of key communications and graphics related software packages,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, including experience in preparing talking points, speeches, briefing notes, and inputs for media products. English proficiency can be shown through a valid TOEFL or IELTS certificate with minimum bandwidth of 6.5 for IELTS or 580 for TOEFL PBT,
• Demonstrate interpersonal and diplomatic skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and to present ideas clearly and effectively; proven ability to work in a collaborative and multi-stakeholder team environment,
• Experience working in an NGO or development sector, particularly where the organization or the project was phasing out is an asset.
  

Skills

• Excellent in Microsoft windows applications,
• Proficient in media monitoring tool,
• Familiar with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustration, Canva, Lightroom,
• Familiar with basic video editing tools such as Movie Makers, KineMaster, and others,
• Experienced in media monitoring and social media monitoring tools.
