We are looking for an Infrastructure Project Team Leader a pivotal time of transition and change for the organisation.

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

In this role you will be the key project point of contract within the Infrastructure team you will be responsible for coordination of all projects that the Infrastructure team are supporting.

 

This will include, attending project scoping meetings, planning the resourcing of the team, translating business requirements into technical elements (such as server builds or security changes) running project meetings, delegation of tasks to team members, support and escalation for technical questions and helping to deliver technical project work yourself.

An ideal candidate for the role will also have experience in the following: 

 

  • Strong sysadmin technical background
  • Azure Public Cloud Network Technologies: Network Security Groups, VNET routing, VNET integration, Service Endpoints, Azure VPN Gateways, Application Gateways, Traffic Manager
  • Azure Hosting & Data Infrastructure: Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, Data Lake, Azure Files, Azure automation.
  • Project lifecycle management related to server infrastructure, e.g. design, build, security schedule, maintenance and replacement planning.
  • Project coordination, regularly planning resource allocation on a project timeline.
  • Assigning tasks to a small team of specialists.
  • Acting as a technical escalation point to support sysadmin related tasks.
  • Actively owning deliveries by solving problems and unblocking challenges.
  • Communicating with business managers and staff to advise, influence and determine business needs.

We think this role would work particularly well as mainly home-based role with occasional travel to the Head Office. This would be agreed with your manager.
