We offer you a first step into the environmental sustainability sector, gaining unique insights
whilst helping to create a real impact on the world’s oceans.

The MSC’s Ocean Stewardship Fund (OSF) and Development team are involved in supporting exciting
projects across the organization, both identifying opportunities to secure funding and managing
the existing projects supported by our Ocean Stewardship Fund and donors.

As part of the Ocean Stewardship Fund and Development team you would be involved in:

  • identifying new fundraising opportunities (statutory, foundations etc.) and the submission
    of funding applications to potential donors.
  • undertaking prospect research to identify new fundraising opportunities and create a
    comprehensive record of these that can then be utilised by the OSF and Development team.
  • the grant management side, by supporting the migration of data from legacy grants onto a
    new Grants Management System.
  • the general administration of the Ocean Stewardship Fund and Development team operations.

You will obtain exposure to fundraising and grant management in a professional, creative and
informal working environment. This role provides the opportunity for those early in their
career to begin to forge a network and make long-lasting connections with passionate
professionals in the sustainability sector.

We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic, enthusiastic nature and who supports
the MSC’s vision of the world’s oceans teeming with life, and seafood supplies safeguarded for
this and future generations.

To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent written and spoken communication
skills, excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to learn
quickly and take the initiative when appropriate.

the London office for a minimum of 50% of their working time each month The
remaining time can be worked from home.
