Purpose of the job

In this context of change, the Business Group Internal Communication Manager will be a key player in promoting the company’s strategy, and its disruptive convictions. The BG Internal Communications Manager works in close cooperation with the Corporate communication team (internal as well as external) and in coordination with correspondents at BU & sites levels, to ensure alignment with the Group’s strategy, consistency in our messages and brand identity.

Areas of responsibility

STRATEGY / PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Building the internal communication plan for the Business Group, in close relation with the global communication plan of the Group (including Corporate programs & campaigns)
  • Ensuring that key messages related to Nexans business/organization/transformation/culture are shared, cascaded and understood at all levels: BG/BU/sites (blue collars included)
  • Follow-up of global & transversal Internal Communication & People Engagement projects related to HR, Safety, CSR, Inclusion & Diversity, Compliance, etc.

CONTENT CREATION

  • Developing the appropriate contents regarding the messages and targeted internal audiences, and defining, implementing and monitoring the related IC tools and KPIs
  • Promoting a business-oriented, innovative, safe & environment-driven culture
  • Ensuring the application of Group’s guidelines and graphic standards

NETWORK ANIMATION

  • Acting as the key contact at BG level for IC activities and advises leaders/managers to improve information & engagement level
  • Managing a network of correspondents acting as relays for communication
  • Developing employee advocacy

Position sizing

  • Scope: Distribution & Usages Americas, Middle-East and Africa Business Group: this may imply travelling to different locations throughout the BG (when circumstances allow)
  • Direct reporting to the BG Human Resources VP
  • Member of the Internal communication team and reporting functionally to the Group Head of Internal Communication
  • No managerial responsibility for the position but possibility to hire an apprentice or trainee regarding the needs
  • Manages a mutualised budget or specific campaigns budget

Strong communicator with a logical, structured, clear and mature style

  • Hyper-collaborative, autonomous, organized, proactive
  • Positive mindset with a “learning never stops” attitude
  • Detail-oriented, able to work on tight deadlines and to adapt to fast-steady dynamics
  • Innovative and creative approach in content creation and storytelling
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Strong visual design sensibilities & digital skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of and genuine interest in content strategies
  • Ability to drive events by itself in fast-pace and international environments
  • High interest for CSR commitments

Education and experience

  • Business, Audiovisual and/or Communication graduate degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in a communication position
  • Experience within an international company
  • Fluent English & Spanish, additional languages (French) appreciated
  • Ability to take part on any topic in Communication, with a 360 vision
