The Role

The Programmes Officer, you will support the Global Programmes Manager in reviewing and revising the International Programmes, Emergency Response and Rehabilitation/Partnerships strategy by collaborating with Country Managers in field offices. Responsibilities include assessing emergency situations, developing disaster preparedness plans, and fostering partnerships for programme delivery. You will assist in developing proposals for funding and will actively contribute to programme planning and budgeting. You will maintain project systems and procedures, liaise with partners and beneficiaries to ensure all project outputs are met in a timely, cost-effective fashion. Furthermore, you will be responsible for working closely with the Programmes Manager to develop emergency response strategies ensuring situation reports are regularly provided in the form of assessment reports, implementation reports and emergency updates. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive mission to make a positive impact worldwide.

Salary: £25,000-£30,000 p/a (dependent on experience)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Recognised qualifications in programmes and delivery
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Proficiency in programmes planning and reporting.
  • Proven work experience the humanitarian and/or charity sector.
  • Experience in Disaster Preparedness and Response Planning within an organisation
  • Strong leadership and collaborative skills
  • Attention to data detail and delivery.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a diverse team across multiple time zones.
  • Willingness to travel abroad to support our emergency response efforts.
