Prophesee is the inventor of the world’s most advanced neuromorphic vision systems!
Our breakthrough Event-Based Vision (EVB) technology significantly reduces power consumption, latency, and data processing, offering a new paradigm in computer vision. Prophesee’s patented Metavision® sensors and algorithms mimic how the human eye and brain work, enabling real-time efficiency in fields such as autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, IoT, security, and AR/VR.

Our bio-inspired, event-based cameras capture motion with high temporal resolution and low latency, ideal for dynamic scenes. We’re advancing not just sensor technology, but also the algorithms and machine learning necessary to power new applications in industries like automotive and virtual reality.

Internship description :

You’ll join the Sensor Digital IC Design team, responsible for developing the digital core of our Event-Based Vision (EVB) sensor ASIC. This core is complex, featuring elements such as CPU, DSP hardware accelerators, and high-speed interfaces.

With increasing digital core complexity, simulation runtimes have grown significantly, limiting our ability to fully test long use cases. The goal of this internship is to create an FPGA prototyping platform to integrate and run our future sensor’s digital core development.

This internship will result in multiple outcomes:

  • Early prototyping of sensor digital cores on FPGA, improving quality, performance, and runtime.
  • Early CPU firmware development platform for embedded/software engineers needing to develop software (Algorithm, and drivers) before the Tape-Out or chip back from foundry.

Internship roadmap :

  • Feasibility study :
    – Ramp-up on the digital core design
    – Understanding the blocking points and possible design mutations to be done.
  • Implementation :
    – Update/Mutate RTL for porting onto FPGA target
    – Run RTL simulations and verify your changes
    – Synthesis of the digital core for FPGA target
  • Outcome demonstration :
    – Use FPGA platform for test purposes and long runtime use-cases
    – Use FPGA platform for embedded CPU programming, debug trial with a JTAG probe, performances evaluations, etc…

Profile :

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for cutting-edge technology, who thrives in a dynamic, innovative environment. You will need a strong technical foundation, an autonomous approach to problem-solving, and a collaborative spirit to succeed in this role.

    – A proactive, autonomous worker who collaborates effectively with a team.
    – Passionate about technology, with a pragmatic approach to achieving goals.
    – A positive “Can Do” attitude.
  • Languages: Fluency in French and/or English (written and oral).

    Benefits :

    • Salary : 80% of minimum wage (9.32 €/hour)
    • Meal vouchers : 9€ / workday (Swile card)
    • Working hours : 35 hours/week
    • Location : Paris Bastille (74 rue du Faubourg Saint Antoine, 75012)
    • Additional benefits : CSE

    Duration: 6 months
