With colleagues, customers, patients and residents in mind you’ll have the opportunity to work on innovative projects and make a real impact on their lives.Right from the start you’ll become part of our digital strategy, joining us on our journey and developing yourself along the way.Working for the Cromwell Hospital, the IT Business Analyst will create strong business cases as the main business analysis deliverable that will dictate how feasible a recommended solution is by outlining the organisational benefits of the recommended solution.This role will be owning the requirements gathering, gap analysis and process mapping throughout the entire project lifecycle from Initiation to Transition into Operation.How you’ll help us make health happenAs IT Business Analyst for the Cromwell Hospital you will:Ensure ITIL service transition techniques are used to deliver successful implementation of all aspects of the service.Collaborate with heads of services, stakeholders, system owners and technical teams to determine the financial, business, and operational requirements and goals for specific projects.Support the design of the entire process of acquiring and integrating a new product/service, including aspects of design, usability and function before delivered to the users.Support Testing and ensure that User Acceptance Testing is hand in hand with the business requirements.Ensure recommendations presented by technical experts conform with the needs of stakeholders.Lead the engagement of technical, clinical and administrative subject matter experts to assess, document and (where required) re-design business processes to support the delivery of IT projects.Map the relevant inter (and intra) departmental processes that are impacted by IT projects as part of the project start-up process.Analyse user processes and produce data and process flow diagrams as well as reports and recommendations for improvements.Develop processes, procedures and associated documentation to ensure the adoption and continued use of systems.Lead the engagement of subject matter experts and be a key contributor to the configuration of new and existing systems.Facilitate workshops, user meetings and other opportunities to capture or enhance the detail of business processes (current and future) relating to existing and new services.Understand and document the challenges and limitations that will deliver poor outcomes in terms of safety, service, cost or internal processing.Capture the future “to-be” business processes, working in partnership with internal and external customers and suppliers to improve operational delivery of services. This may involve challenging historical ways of working as appropriate.Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:Proven work experience as an IT Business Analyst or similar roleExperience working in the healthcare industry in a similar role would be highly beneficialExcellent understanding of best practice business analysis methodologies and process mapping and requirements definition and managementExperience of conducting senior level interviews to gain insights into business needs for IT solutions.Experience of engaging with technical design and project management to ensure that the correct products have been selected in a timely fashion.Experience of implementing IT process and change plans.Experience of collaborating in a multi-disciplinary environment.Experience in procurement activity regarding large scale contracts and management of external suppliers.BenefitsOur benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
