We are putting innovation to work to improve people’s lives and we want YOU to be a part of it.Job DescriptionAlbemarle is hiring for an IT Director, Global Human Resources Technology.The IT Director, Global HR Technology will provide strategic global leadership on all aspects of Albemarle’s Human Resources technology vision, strategy, architecture and analytics/data reporting, aligned with our recently announced HR operating model transformation. This position will report directly to the Vice President, Enterprise Business Systems, with a dotted line to the Vice President, Human Resources Transformation.This critical leader will sit on both IT and HR leadership teams and serve as an HR “thought leader” to align key stakeholders across the enterprise on a common vision encompassing technology strategies and architecture, including a future state roadmap that supports improving the functional excellence, employee experience and customer experience delivered by HR. The IT Director, Global HR Technology will have a passion for creating innovative, automated and efficient solutions for Albemarle using Workday and generative AI tools.This role will be based in Budapest, Hungary, at Albemarle’s HR Shared Services and Global Business Systems (GBS) hub.What You Will DoThe IT Director, HR Technology will be a key partner in leading the HR IT Transformation at Albemarle and position HR technology as a strategic tool to simplify, standardize and improve employee and customer experience. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the dynamic market of available HR IT solutions and be well equipped to develop and execute the technology strategies that enhances the tools, processes and systems that we extend to our customers.Develop multi-year HR Technology strategies and adjacent roadmaps for the company, to include HR data, analytics and reporting transformation as well as multi-year systems upgrades and implementations in the areas of learning management, performance management, succession planning, compensation, talent acquisition, talent management, payroll, time and attendanceProactively partner and support with HR leadership to build an overall technology transformation strategy that supports the HR long-range planBuild and execute an application/system architecture roadmap that provides for best-in-class solutions for our customers focused on delivering an effective and efficient customer experienceBuild and maintain a strong working relationship with all functional HR stakeholders while working effectively with the business to understand and adequately translate business requirements and manage project scope, implementation timelines and customer expectationLeverage Workday to its fullest potential by optimizing existing functionalities and integrating new features to enhance HR processes, improve data accuracy, and streamline workflows. Continuously evaluate and implement Workday updates and best practices to ensure the system meets evolving business needs and delivers a superior employee experience.Manage day-to-day operations of the existing applications footprint with focus placed on system availability, security and currencyMonitor departmental metrics for issues and trends to determine root cause, required process changes, and resource allocations that will improve overall service deliverySupport large-scale acquisition and divestiture efforts as appropriate to ensure HR services are transitioned, people data migrated and systems architectures are adapted to aggressive business deadlinesManage all aspects of employee performance for a global team which includes goal setting, coaching, mentoring and professional developmentManage the budget for operational support and projects including forecasting, cost tracking, variance managementDevelop key talent and capability in business strategy across the enterprise and serve as a talent steward for the business in this spaceWhat You BringRequired:Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on HR technology. Proven experience with Workday and other HRIS systems is essential.Demonstrated success leading HR IT through an HR Shared Services TransformationBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline is required.Extensive knowledge of and experience with business relationship management, change management and global transformation initiativesExcellent collaboration and communication skills and ability to influenceExperience interfacing with and managing internal Centers of Excellence (COE) and shared servicesImpeccable analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, as well as the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectivesExperience in operational excellence and utilizing tools to actively problem solve and manage for daily improvementProject management skills: financial/budget management, scheduling and resource managementAbility to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goalsIt’d be great if you also had:Master’s degree preferred.Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goalsBenefits of Joining AlbemarleCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits packageA diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.Choose to unlock your full POTENTIAL.
