Keep reading!What the key tasks will look likeWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compensation and Benefits Manager to join our HR-team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the total rewards strategy and HR governance for two companies within our group, namely DKV & ERGO Belgium. The successful candidate will manage a team of HR professionals and ensure the smooth operation of our outsourced payroll services (outsourced to social secretary in Belgium). This position will report to the Head of HR and will work closely with the HR Business Partners in the context of projects.
- Total Rewards Strategy: you’ll develop and implement comprehensive total rewards strategies to attract, retain, and motivate employees across both companies.
- Compensation and Benefits: you’ll oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and compliant with local regulations.
- Payroll Management and employee administration: together with the outsourced team and the HR officers, you’ll manage the outsourced payroll process and all employee administration processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Team Leadership: you’ll lead and mentor a team of three HR professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Reporting: you’ll prepare and present regular reports in a timely and compliant manner and optimize the current reporting processes and tools to gain efficiency and increase quality.
- HR Governance & Legal advice: you’ll ensure that HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with legal requirements and you’ll provide legal advice on matters related to social law.
Required skills and competencies
- You obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree (eg in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law) or are equivalent by experience.
- You have a proven track record (at least 10 years of experience) in total rewards, compensation and benefits management, by preference within a services industry.
- You have excellent reporting skills, with the ability to prepare and present detailed reports accurately and efficiently and can improve existing reporting processes.
- You benefit from an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use complex formulas and data analysis tools
- You have a strong knowledge of relevant HR regulations and social law in Belgium.
- You have an analytical mindset, with strong communication and leadership skills.
- You are fluent in English and French with a good understanding of Dutch.
- Experience with an outsourced payroll service, is a plus.
