  • The Junior Forecasting Manager is responsible for managing capacity on a portfolio of routes assigned to him/her, comprising of several countries and bases.
  • The goal is to maximize profitability by optimizing capacity and weekly frequencies, thereby offering the right products to the market.
  • The Junior Forecasting Manager is also responsible for delivering regular revenue forecast updates of the assigned route portfolio by closely following and analysing market trends, demand and competitive dynamics.
  • Part of the job role is to continuously work together with Network Development and Scheduling and Slots teams on projects related to new aircraft deployments, seasonal loadings, various analyses and business recommendations to management.
  • The manager also needs to deliver monthly capacity plan updates to stakeholder departments, thereby contributing to an efficient business planning cycle.
  • To be successful in the role he/she will need to continuously look for improvements and developments in the current tools and processes of the commercial planning area. Therefore an innovative, process-driven mindset with strong technical skills is essential.

Requirements & competencies:

  • Completed university degree in business, economics or other numerical subject
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in revenue management, pricing, commercial planning strategy function, management consulting, alternatively in an analytically-driven role
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and problem solving skills
  • Good understanding of core economic concepts and principles
  • Business mindset and ability to synthesize information into recommendations
  • Strong sense of business ownership and accountability for own portfolio
  • A highly motivated, proactive individual
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and under pressure
  • Ability to work in team and independently
  • Advanced Excel skills (VBA or database management experience is a plus)
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Openness to live and work in Budapest, Hungary (relevant permit can be obtained for successful applicants)
  • Limited travel required
