Meaningful Work From Day One

Reporting to the KAM Off-Trade, the KAM Junior is responsible for the implementation and management of his/her category among off premise customers.

In collaboration with the KAM Off-Trade, he/ she is responsible for managing and optimizing A&P budgets per customer. He/ she penetrates Customer Marketing know-how in Brown Forman’s sales and marketing organization.

What You Can Expect

Diagnosis of the Customer situation / category:

  • Category reviews per account

  • Operational analysis of key growth drivers

  • Shopper Knowledge insights determining relevant trading issues

Development and implementation of the Customer Marketing Plan:

  • From the category strategy (national and by channel), he/she formulates an action plan for the customers (innovation, assortment range, promotional and merchandising policies).

  • He/she will work on building trading partnerships with key customers by using the best tools such as “data sharing”.

Customer marketing: projects and specific developments:

Be in charge of one or more cross-disciplinary projects. Therefore, he/she represents the point of view of the team under the supervision of the Customer Director regarding:

  • Promotion, merchandising, relationships with the sales force, category analysis and reports…

  • Participate, develop the category strategy and set up the “selling story” dedicated to our customers.

  • He/she will be involved with the trade marketing team in the creation of an efficient POS, useful for the visibility in outlets.

Customer appointments (alone or with the KAM):

  • Build customers’ meetings based on cross way recommendations of his/her category concerning assortment, innovation, promotion and place policies.

  • Negotiate and regularly animate the action plan with the customers (Marketing and Trade Marketing teams) and ensure the fulfillment of each step.

  • Is co- responsible with the Customer Director of the trade counterpart optimization highlighting commercial opportunities.

  • Negotiate Planograms per customers

Project concerning the salesforce collaboration:

  • Guarantee the content of the data given to the sales force (content, layout and right timing according to the internal planning and deadlines).

  • Provide the regional or other retail-based data (KPI’S) such as Nielsen to ensure BF’S investment in data is maximized.

  • Participate in sales meetings (ad hoc).

  • Regularly accompany the sales representatives.

Monitoring and control of the execution:

  • Monitoring of the performance on his category/ customer.

  • Checking regularly the customer marketing plans (shared responsibility with the Customer Director).

  • Regular analysis of the retail-based data agencies.

  • Tools and process: use the standard tools for reinforced efficiency.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience: Significant field sales experience required and/ or in Category management (3 years)

  • Strong analysis capacity and recommendation

  • Fluent in English and French

  • Team spirit

  • Strong communication skills
