We sell marine products and services to globally trading vessels in 70+ countries, through 50+ legal entities in all corners of the world. The end-users of our products (the vessels) move from one part of the world to another within the span of weeks and expect to get a fully integrated and seamless customer service wherever they are. This a fundamental aspect of our business, and it requires WSS to operate a truly global (not just multi-national) business model, in which products and tasks are distributed throughout our global marine supply system.As our Key Account Manager, you’ll be at the frontline of our sales growth, navigating towards ambitious targets. You will manage some of our biggest clients and set sail in pursuit of new business opportunities within our valued established customer base and venture into uncharted waters to discover new clientele.You will be responsible for:Driving profitable sales growth for existing and new customers within your portfolioCollaborate and support Technical Sales Managers and Business Development Managers in achieving their sales targetsCreate measurable sales activity plans to deliver on decided targetsBuild the sales pipeline by seeking out opportunities on existing accounts and new business by making use of our extended sales database.Proactively utilize Sales force and Power Bi to identify areas of growthFoster strong relationships with our customers through high quality and frequent customer face to face meetings.Work closely and build team spirit with internal stakeholders such as Customer Service, Port Service Engineers and the Technical Solutions teamDevelop and maintain multilevel entry points and relationships with your own accounts.Secure full compliance with WSS sales governance and risk managementEnsure accurate and updated information is inputted into WSS CRMMake sure your customer portfolio adheres to all terms, including credit through proactive contract managementCollaborate closely with the credit team to monitor and take corrective actions when neededWhat you need to succeed in the role:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent marine qualification preferred.International sales experience in technical salesSailing or other maritime engineering experienceResults oriented and with demonstrated achievements in salesExperienced in negotiations with customersProven track record of establishing and maintaining relationships with customersAble to work independently and manage own time effectivelyWhat we are looking for:Ambitious and a strong desire for success with a commercial mindsetCan meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of prioritiesDigital savviness with experience from working with excel, MS office, CRM systems etc.Highly structuredCuriosity, learnability, adaptability, and determinationWhat we offer:Join a work culture and environment of strong leadership, career development, a positive work-life balance and a job that is both challenging and stimulating.
