Job description

We are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Nephrology and kidney transplantation Research Group.Education and qualifications:Required:

  • Laboratory technician FPII or degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or similar
  • Certificate in handling animals for research purposes

Experience and knowledge:Required:

  • Experience in animal experimentation (primarily handling mice)
  • Responsible, organized and motivated
  • A degree of independence and teamwork skills

Desired:

  • Experience in similar position
  • Experience in other molecular biology techniques (histology, cell culture, WB, immunofluorescence)
  • Fluent in English (B2 or equivalent)

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Technical support in mouse experimental procedures.
  • Technical support in other molecular biology techniques (histology, cell culture, WB, immunofluorescence…).
  • Support in lab organization (manage orders, reagent preparation…).

Labour conditions:

  • Full-time position: 40h/week
  • Starting date: Immediate
  • Length of the contract: 18 months including a trial period
  • Gross annual salary: 18.589,05 euros (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale).
  • Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
