West Dorset Wilding

vacanciesin.eu

West Dorset Wilding was successful in round 2 of the ELMs Landscape Recovery scheme, and will
be starting the two-year Project Development Phase (PDP) of the Brit Catchment Recovery Project
in April 2024.

We are excited to be looking for a Project Officer – Land, with a focus on farmer liaison, to
provide that crucial interface between the Project vision and the realistic expectations of the
farmers and landowners. Landscape Recovery is all about the farmers, about what changes they
can make collectively to create a profound and meaningful improvement for nature in our
catchment. You will be at the heart of this, getting to know the 53 farmers in the project and
understanding their issues, needs, ambitions and plans for the future.

Your role, shared with the other job-share position, will be to work with the farmers in the
scheme to define what positive changes they will look to make for nature over a 20+ year
period. You will also be expected to play a role in the ecological baselining of the catchment,
as well as mapping using a GIS and a range of other tasks.

Apply through our website here and choose Project Officer – Land.
