About the job:The School of Law at Queen’s University Belfast is seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Lecturer in the Law of Evidence.You will be joining a vibrant community of scholars committed to making a difference to society through delivering excellence in research and teaching. The School is ranked 8th in the UK for Law in REF 2021, the UK wide assessment of research quality in universities with the highest possible rating for the impact of its research on society. Your research will complement or augment our existing research groups and research strengths. You will be involved in teaching on our undergraduate law programmes and on postgraduate, including postgraduate supervision, as required and you will be committed to delivering an excellent student experience. You will also contribute to the School’s administration activity as required by the Head of School.   • A degree in Law.
  • Hold or be about to obtain a PhD in Law or cognate discipline.
  • A publication record commensurate with stage of career, demonstrating ability to publish at internationally-excellent level in peer reviewed journals and/or with relevant publishers, with clear potential to make a strong contribution to the School’s performance in REF.
  • Research interests that are sustainable and which complement the research strategy of the School of Law.
  • Relevant teaching experience in a law school context, commensurate with stage in career.
  • Ability to contribute to the teaching of the law of Evidence.
