About the Role

As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Primary Education you will be required to make a significant contribution to the leadership and delivery of our modules on Primary programmes and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience. We would particularly welcome candidates who could teach one or more of our teacher education programmes.

You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. A background in Primary Education with supporting qualifications is essential. Established or promising research profile in Primary Education and very good teaching experience on undergraduate / postgraduate Primary programmes would be an advantage.

To be successful you will further enrich our student’s experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and experience. In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development within Primary and Childhood Education. 

It is important to note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure for you from the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of offer of employment.
