Job description
HCB Widdows Mason is seeking a dedicated and organised Legal Assistant to join our Residential Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals keen to support clients throughout their residential property transactions while developing their skills in a professional environment. We will equip the ideal candidate with comprehensive training to ensure their success.Your key responsibilities will include:
- Handling client enquiries and providing updates on their residential property transactions.
- Opening and closing client files, ensuring compliance with firm policies and legal requirements.
- Assisting in preparing, drafting, and filing necessary legal documents and correspondence.
- Conducting legal research related to residential property law.
- Supporting solicitors during negotiations and transactions.
- Maintaining accurate record-keeping and documentation within case management systems.
- Performing general administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
- Providing occasional reception cover as required.
Requirements
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting documents.
- Previous experience in a legal or property setting is advantageous but not essential.
